As most of you know, interest brewed for a real life meet opened to the friendly members of the community, on a vaguely invite only basis, so as to avoid getting 'unwelcome' people.

Well its going to happen, the date is set and the venue is booked. Doors will open at 9am on Saturday 1st March and the doors must be locked and keys returned to the town center office by 12:00 noon on Sunday 2nd March.

The meet will take place in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. Hitchin is a small market town and is really rather pleasant. The actual venue is a town owned Hall, situated in the middle of Bancroft Park. Its both appropriately and surprisingly named Bancroft Hall.

It will be completely legal for alcohol consumption at the meet. There is a Sainsburys right next to the park, about a two minute walk away, so if you're intending on drinking or eating much, you're sorted. On the same note, there are plenty of takeaways down Bancroft Road.

Obviously, the meet goes on through the night, but the hall can be paritioned into two smaller sections, so when people want to sleep they can do so. Please make sure you bring a sleeping bag, preferably with something soft (perhaps an air bed) since the floor is quite hard.
