Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: June 2026
These terms cover your use of the Kloopy Ltd website and our app, TripSplit. We've kept them short and in plain English with no walls of legalese. By using our website or app, you agree to what's below.
1. Who You're Dealing With
This website and TripSplit are run by Kloopy Ltd, a company registered in England (company number 17257918). If you need to reach us about anything in these terms, email [email protected].
2. Using TripSplit
TripSplit is a tool to help friends and family split the cost of trips and events. A few common-sense things to keep in mind:
- It's a calculator, not a bank. TripSplit works out who owes what. It does not move money, take payments, or settle debts for you. Any actual paying back happens between you and the people you're travelling with.
- Keep your details accurate. The maths is only as good as what you put in. Please enter expenses honestly so everyone in your group gets a fair result.
- Look after your account. You're responsible for keeping your login details to yourself and for what happens under your account.
- Play fair. Don't use TripSplit to break the law, to upset or harass other people, or to interfere with how the app or website works for everyone else.
3. Your Content
The trips, names, expenses and other information you enter stay yours. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to add the details you put in, including the names of the people you're splitting costs with. How we handle this information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
4. Things We Can't Promise
We work hard to keep TripSplit accurate and available, but we have to be straight with you:
- We provide the website and app "as is." We can't promise they'll always be available, error-free, or that every calculation will suit every situation.
- TripSplit's figures are there to help you, not to act as formal financial or legal advice. Always sanity-check before settling up.
- As far as the law allows, Kloopy Ltd isn't liable for losses that come from relying on the app, from disputes between members of your group, or from the app being unavailable.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under UK consumer law, or our liability for things that can't be excluded by law.
5. Changes & Closing Your Account
We may update TripSplit, this website, or these terms from time to time. If we make a significant change we'll do our best to let you know. You can stop using TripSplit whenever you like, and you can ask us to delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy for how that works).
6. The Legal Bit
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
7. Questions
If anything here isn't clear, just ask. We're happy to explain. Email us at [email protected].
